Cell Description:                 Carcinoma, human urinary bladder

 

Culture medium:                      Medium 199 with sodium bicarbonate, 2 mM L-glutamine and 1,0 mM sodium pyruvate, 90%; FBS, 10%

Subculture routine:                 0,25% trypsin, 0,03% EDTA solution, rinse and remove trypsin. Allow the flask to sit at room temperature (or incubate at 37¡C) until the cells detach. Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks. Split a subcultivation ratio of 1:6 to 1:10.

Fluid renewal:                         2 to 3 times per week..

Morphology:                            Epithelial

Tumorigenic:                           yes, in BALB/c nu/nu mice

Sterility:                                   Tests for Mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi were negative
